The McGill Savoy Society, the oldest student-run Gilbert & Sullivan group in Canada, presents The Gondoliers; or The King of Baritaria at Moyse Hall, Arts Building, McGill University (853 Sherbrooke St. West), on February 10th, 11th, 16th, 17th, and 18th at 19h30 and the 11th and 18th at 14h.
Often considered to be one of Gilbert and Sullivan’s greatest works, The Gondoliers is
a dreamy, comic operetta that takes us through a number of entangled lives in Venice.
The show features everything you’d want in a classic G&S production: gorgeous faux-
Italian music, convoluted wit, political satire, royal intrigue and most important above all,
young, foolish love.
Tickets to Savoy’s 49th production are $20 for regular admission, $12 for students, “Senior Saturday” matinée tickets at $12, and 10% off for Quebec Drama Federation members.
Tickets may be reserved: online- click the following link: Ticket Reservations , by voicemail message at 514-398-
